We were delighted to have a recent visit from Greater Grace Temple to hand over a donation
We were delighted to have a recent visit from members of the Greater Grace Temple church based in Barking.
Three members of the church visited to hand over a donation of £300 raised for DABD from contributions towards a Family Fun Day they organised at the end of April at Gascoigne Primary school.
The church had been keen to raise money for a local charity and chose us as they received such positive feedback from members of their congregation who have used our services.
Yvonne Asumadu from the church said;
‘‘We as a church are committed to not just our members but our community too. As part of our second anniversary celebrations, we wanted to give back to the community and decided to look for a charity to fundraise for.
As a parent with a child in need, I was aware of the wonderful things DABD do for children and adults to enable independence. I had enquired about DABD’s services before and was aware of parents who had used the services.
It was easy for me to suggest DABD to the church and proceed to fundraise to support your services."
Our CEO Elaine James, said; ‘We are extremely grateful to the church for choosing to support us and hope to be able to work with them again in the future.’
