Support to find work

DABD (uk) have offered support to people looking for work for over nine years. 

We offer free support and training to help you get back to work. We will support you every step of the way including help with job searches, application forms, interviews and your CV. We will also give you the opportunity to improve your existing skills and gain new ones. 

Job Shop Community Outreach Project

If you live in Barking & Dagenham and are unemployed or working less than eight hours per week you could be eligible to register for the Jobshop Community Outreach Project.

You may be able to access a wide range of support, services and training including:

• Job Clubs
• CV Workshops
• Interview Techniques
• Office IT skills
• Health & Social Care specific training including manual handling and first aid
• Beauty therapy including spray tan, manicure and pedicure
• Retail training
• Literacy and Numeracy qualifications

Apprenticeships

DABD (uk) currently offer Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeships in beauty therapy. Qualifications offered in conjuction with Halls of Ivy are:

• VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapy General
• VTCT Level 3 Beauty Therapy Massage Route
